
CN Posts Stronger Q2 2026 Earnings, Lifts Full-Year Outlook
CN posted double-digit revenue growth and higher earnings in the second quarter, prompting the railway to lift its outlook for the rest of the year.
Canadian National Railway reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of C$4,753 million, up 11% year over year, with net income rising 7% to C$1,249 million. Diluted earnings per share came in at C$2.06, while adjusted diluted EPS was C$2.08.
The railway also raised its full-year 2026 guidance, now assuming low single-digit growth in revenue ton miles and mid-to-high single-digit growth in adjusted diluted EPS. First-half 2026 free cash flow reached C$1,842 million, up 19% from the same period a year earlier.
