How we work
Sourcing
Every factual claim is grounded in a primary, authoritative source — the CRA, the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada, CDIC, CMHC, the Bank of Canada, or Statistics Canada — and we cite them on the page. For figures that change (contribution limits, tax brackets, rates), we state the year and point you to the CRA to confirm your personal numbers.
Review & accuracy
Guides carry a "last reviewed" date and are checked against current rules. Calculator math lives in a single, tested engine, so the numbers you see are reproducible to the cent. We never publish invented statistics, rates, or quotes.
How we rank products
Comparisons rank on objective merits — fees, rates, features, coverage — not on commercial relationships. Affiliate links, where present, are disclosed and never move a product up a list. Data is curated, dated, and verified against each provider before publication.
Corrections
We fix errors promptly and note material corrections. Found something wrong or out of date? Let us know and we'll update it.
