Brookfield Raises $2 Billion for Middle East Fund Backed by Saudi PIF
Brookfield Asset Management has closed roughly $2 billion for a new private equity fund targeting the Middle East, with backing from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund.
Brookfield Asset Management has raised about $2 billion for a Middle East-focused investment vehicle backed by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), deepening ties between the Canadian asset manager and one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds.
Brookfield is committing $500 million of its own capital to the private equity fund, according to the firm.
