Permanent-Employee Wage Growth Jumps to 3.7% in June
Statistics Canada data show pay gains for permanent employees picked up speed last month.
Statistics Canada data released alongside the June 2026 Labour Force Survey on July 10 showed annual wage growth for permanent employees climbing to 3.7% in June, up from 3.2% in May. The 0.5 percentage-point increase in a single month points to firming pay pressure in the permanent segment of the labour market.
